Our Service Policies

Lemon Blossom Cleaning Services, LLC is a locally owned and operated business. Our employees are fully bonded and insured. We pay all required federal and state Social Security and Medicare payroll taxes.

Specifications: The following agreement is not a contract for services. We prefer to generate customer loyalty by relying on the quality and value of our services. You are under no obligation for a specified term of service and may cancel at any time. Please refer to the Task List to ensure you understand which services will be performed in your home. If what you want is not listed, you must discuss “special requests” with the phone estimator before service begins as there may be a price adjustment.

Payment: Cash and major credit cards are accepted. Payment is due at the time of service. A credit card must be placed on file with us to secure payment for our services. Appointments are only guaranteed with a credit card. You can pay with cash at the time of service, however, if cash is not presented at the time of arrival your credit card will be charged.

Quote: Prices and hours are based on your accurate description of the condition of your home. If we find the condition is inconsistent with your description, we will call you and ask for a time adjustment and price increase or offer other options. If we cannot reach you and you have not pre-approved additional time, we will only stay the amount of time you paid for, and quality will be compromised.

Scheduling and cancellations: Lemon Blossom Cleaning Services makes every effort to accommodate your scheduling needs. Please call the office 48 hours in advance of your scheduled time to make any changes or cancellations. If you contact us to cancel an appointment less than 48 hours in advance Lemon Blossom Cleaning Services may charge a $100 non-refundable fee to your card to cover a portion of our technician’s time.

Access: Please ensure that our staff has access to your home. We will provide you with a time range of when to expect us. Although it is perfectly acceptable for you or your representative to be present at the time of services, many of our clients prefer to put a key or door code on file with our office. Lemon Blossom Cleaning Services maintains a key safe in our office. Keys filed with our office are coded via a computer system. Names and addresses are never attached to the key. In the event, our staff arrives for a regularly scheduled appointment and there is no means of entry to your home, a lock-out fee of $100.00 may be charged to your account. Please communicate with our office regarding your preferred entry method.

Equipment and supplies: Lemon Blossom Cleaning Services provides all cleaning equipment and supplies. Due to OSHA regulations, we are unable to use any cleaning supplies but our own without a signed waiver of liability statement. For a list of our cleaning supplies click here.

Appliances, furniture, boxes, and miscellany: We do not move furniture, refrigerators, stoves, or washers/dryers, or other items weighing more than 20 lbs. to clean under and behind them, even if they are on wheels.

Trash: We do not move large amounts of trash. We will place up to two kitchen-sized garbage bags of trash in the curbside container, but there is an extra charge for larger amounts of trash. Please communicate to our office any special instructions regarding trash disposal for your home so that we may add them to our job.

Limits of Liability: Lemon Blossom Cleaning Services is not responsible for breakage due to normal wear and tear; deterioration caused by age; or damage caused by improper assembly, construction, or mounting of an item. Our technicians are taught to clean with an abundance of caution and will exercise care when cleaning your home and belongings. However, please be aware that we cannot assume liability for improperly hung blinds, wall hangings and/or décor, mirrors, draperies, or drapery rods, shelving, furniture, etc. which is damaged, broken, scratched prior to our service. We do not accept responsibility for blinds that break or fall while opening, raising, or dusting them. We do reserve the right to document such items via photographs for future reference. We do not include anything in the photographs which would identify your family, name, or address (such as mail, family photos, etc.). All damage must be reported by the end of the next business day following your cleaning.

Other service providers: For the safety of our associates, the security of your home, and the quality of our service, we request that there be no other service providers (movers, carpet cleaners, painters, plumbers, carpenters, etc.) in the home when we arrive to clean. If other service providers are present, we will do our best to work around them, but too many interruptions in our cleaning procedure may prevent us from completing the job in the amount of time estimated. More time may be available for purchase, or we may need to adjust what tasks we can accomplish to compensate for a lack of time. We cannot guarantee the quality of our work if other service providers are present during, or directly after, our services are provided (ie: house painters, flooring specialists, etc. working within the areas cleaned or working in areas that we CANNOT clean while we are on-site).

Parking: If parking is not available in your driveway, please notify Lemon Blossom Cleaning Services of a convenient place to park near your home. There may be an extra charge for metered parking.

Pets: If your pets are sociable, we do not mind them roaming the house-we love pets! However, for the protection of your pets and our staff, we request that any pet which may become nervous or aggressive during our visits be either kenneled, restrained to a room in which we will not be cleaning, or kept outside in a fenced area that our staff will not have to cross. If a Lemon Blossom Cleaning Service associate is injured by an unrestrained pet the homeowner may be held liable for all medical expenses.

Preparing for your cleaning visit: We provide professional “cleaning” services as opposed to “housekeeping” services. Taking a few minutes to accomplish these simple steps will help ensure that your home receives the most thorough cleaning possible!

  • Pick up clothes, toys, etc. from floors and surfaces to be cleaned
  • Place clean linens on the end of any bed(s) you wish stripped and changed. If no clean linens are laid out, the bed will be made up with the existing linens.
  • Unload/Load dishwasher as needed. (We do not wash dishes)
  • Secure pets if necessary.
  • Place payment and any notes to our staff communicating any special needs or feedback for today’s visit on the kitchen counter
  • Please Note: Due to insurance and sanitation restrictions, Lemon Blossom staff cannot remove or clean up animal or rodent droppings, human excrement, blood,  or other bio-hazardous waste. We cannot clean if the home has an infestation of bed bugs, roaches, or fleas.  Should we discover such issues, we may suspend service until proof that a professional extermination service has remedied the problem and you will be charged the standard cancellation fee.

Exclusivity of Services: By accepting our service, you agree to neither solicit, directly or indirectly, nor hire any current or former Lemon Blossom Cleaning Services associate, who has provided service to your home without compensation to Lemon Blossom Cleaning Services for its loss, and the expressed written consent of Lemon Blossom Cleaning Services. Customer hereby agrees to pay a finder’s fee of $3500.00 for any staff member (current or former) that the customer wishes to employ, or contract with for any type of services, including but not limited to, child care, pet care, or housesitting or enter into any other type of agreement with for violation of this agreement.

Guarantee: Ideally, we would appreciate it if you or your representative could walk through the house with us toward the end of the cleaning. Our service is guaranteed and we appreciate the opportunity to re-clean the unsatisfactory areas if you are not satisfied, but we cannot return to re-clean if we are not notified within 24 hours of the cleaning. Because of the subjective nature of cleaning, refunds are not available.

Use of our services constitutes acceptance of our Service Agreement.
